Sale of patrol's surplus motor vehicles--preferences to political subdivisions.

43.260. Notwithstanding other provisions of law to the contrary, the Missouri state highway patrol is hereby authorized to sell surplus highway patrol motor vehicles. Sales to municipal, county, political subdivisions or state governmental agencies shall be given preference over sales to the general public. Vehicles may be offered for sale only after approval is given in writing by the commissioner of administration and an evaluation is made of each vehicle and a price determined by the commissioner of administration. The highway patrol shall accept not less than the amount authorized by the commissioner of administration for the sale of vehicles.
