Journals of both houses compiled to preserve record of proceedings
--number--distribution.
2.080. 1. Copies of the journals of the proceedings of each house of
the general assembly shall be compiled under the superintendence and
direction of the secretary of the senate and chief clerk of the house, in
such number as may be determined to be necessary by the committee on
legislative research, to be distributed as directed by the committee.
After each session of the general assembly, the secretary of the senate and
chief clerk of the house shall examine and correct the proof sheets of the
journals of their respective chambers and prepare a table of the errata, if
any errors have been made, and shall prepare an index of the journals. The
secretary of the senate and chief clerk of the house shall develop and use
a common indexing system for the journals.
2. Copies of the journals may be printed and bound into books, may be
microphotographed, or may otherwise be copied so as to preserve the record
of proceedings and to facilitate the use and storage of the journals.
